This privacy policy explains how Talaria Limited("Talaria", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit www.newtalaria.com, use the Talaria product at one.newtalaria.com, or contact us. We are a New Zealand company and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and, where applicable, other privacy laws that apply to our customers.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, organisation details, and authentication data when you register or log in.
• Billing information — payment and invoice details processed by our payment providers when you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Product data — events, exceptions, logs, session replays, and related metadata you send to Talaria so we can provide error tracking and issue grouping. This may include personal information depending on what your applications capture.
• Contact communications — messages you send via email or the marketing site contact form (mailto to our inbox).
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and similar logs needed to operate and secure our services.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Talaria service
• Authenticate users and manage organisations, projects, and roles
• Meter usage, bill plans, and enforce spending caps
• Send transactional email (alerts, billing, security notices)
• Respond to sales, support, and partnership enquiries
• Detect abuse, secure our systems, and meet legal obligations

Marketing site

The public marketing site is a static site. Contact forms open a mailto draft to [email protected]; we do not run a server-side form processor on this site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we will disclose it here and update this policy.

Customer event data

When you use Talaria as a customer, you control what event and replay payloads your applications send. We process that data to provide error tracking, fingerprinting, issue triage, alerts, and related features. Retention follows your plan limits described on our pricing page. You are responsible for configuring your integrations so that payloads comply with your own privacy obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with subprocessors who help us host infrastructure, send email, process payments, or provide support — under contracts that require appropriate protection. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

International transfers

We may store and process data in New Zealand and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. Enterprise customers may discuss data residency options with us. Where we transfer personal information overseas, we take steps consistent with applicable law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including HTTPS for ingest and access controls such as project-scoped API keys and organisation roles. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please contact us if you have a security concern.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and other applicable laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (NZ) or your local authority. Children

Talaria is a business service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
